FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I book a session?
If you would like to book a session, you can e-mail me at Embracingmomentsbyjael@gmail.com or call 305-333-7704.

2. What should I wear for my session?
For a group or family sessions, it is important to coordinate, although you don’t have to necessarily match. For individual portraits, you have a little more freedom with your outfit. For teens and children, it is also fun to bring special props or hats to reflect your child’s personality. For newborn sessions, solid colors is recommended for parents and siblings and either just a diaper or naked for the babies.

For senior sessions, I also recommend colors and props that reflect your personality. You may want to bring items that are part of your life, such as sporting goods, music, etc.

3. What time of day should we do my session?
You will want to schedule your portraits either in the afternoon/evening time or in the morning when the light is the best.  For newborn sessions, we can schedule the shoot for whatever time your house gets the most natural light which is usually mid-morning or mid-afternoon.

4. Where should we take our pictures?
Location consultation is part of your package and I can suggest locations for you based on your pre-session questionnaire. I am certain we will find the perfect location for you whether it is a traditional nature area or a neat urban spot. Your ideas are also welcomed. :)

5. What happens if my shoot gets rained out?
I am a natural-light photographer, so all weather-related cancellations will be automatically re-booked.

6. Do you do weddings?
I am a natural light photographer, therefore for now, I only do outdoor weddings. Please emaile me Embracingmomentsbyjael@gmail.com for wedding packages.

10.  Why are your prints so expensive compared to prices found at local printing stores?
My goal is to offer the best quality products out there so that your images last a lifetime. I order your products from a professional photo lab which provides better qualities that local printing stores. When you order prints from me, they will either be linen textured prints or mounted, some will come in both.
Linen texture adds an artistic look to your photos and mounting helps protect them from being bent or torn.
